February 2014 - Mustang Bullitt Edition Car Body Repair

This week at St Annes Body Work Centre we’ve had some American muscle marking its territory on our bodyshop. Needless to say we didn’t mind as the American muscle in question was a 2008 Mustang Bullitt Edition.

The owner of the Mustang had come across us via Google and after reading other customer reviews via freeindex.co.uk they contacted us to discuss their requirements.

The Mustang had acquired a few stone chips in its short life and so after a quick chat with the customer we knew that it was our remit to remove the stone chips and return the car to a like new standard!

The vehicle was collected from the customer and brought to our body shop. Once here we set to work on removing the front and rear bumpers and headlights.

The damaged areas were then sanded and prepared ready for primer. After the primer had dried a black trace coat was applied to show any imperfections during wet sanding.

The vehicle was then moved to our spray oven and masked up to prepare for painting.

A black base coat followed by a lacquer was then applied to the Mustang. Once dry the already painted bumpers were re-fitted to the vehicle and any imperfections were then rectified and machine polished.

The car was then washed and dried before being returned to the customer’s home.To our knowledge they were more than happy with our workmanship (we will most certainly be chasing them to leave s some feedback via freeindex.co.uk)
